Daalely — 'my guide' in Arabic — is a bilingual classified ads marketplace built from scratch by eHull. A long-standing platform originally launched in 2014, now fully rebuilt with a modern stack and fresh design.
Daalely — meaning "my guide" in Arabic — is a bilingual classified ads marketplace where users can buy and sell anything freely and safely. eHull has been part of this project since its early days, initially working with an open-source PHP platform before later rebuilding the entire site from scratch with a current stack and a completely new design.
The Platform
Daalely operates in both English and Arabic, serving a broad international audience. The platform allows users to browse categories, post free ads, and connect with buyers and sellers across a wide range of categories including electronics, vehicles, real estate, and jobs — with a straightforward, no-hidden-fees model that puts the user first.
Phase 1 — Launch & Management
The platform was first launched in 2014 using a PHP open-source classified ads solution. eHull managed and maintained the platform through its early growth — handling hosting, updates, customisations, and ongoing technical support as the user base developed.
Phase 2 — Full Rebuild from Scratch
As the platform matured, a full rebuild was undertaken to give Daalely a more solid base and a new look. eHull built the new platform entirely from scratch:
Custom-built classified ads platform — Next.js (App Router) frontend with a Laravel + Sanctum API backend — built entirely from scratch
Bilingual support — full English and Arabic (RTL) versions, switchable from the header
Category browsing across Electronics, Vehicles, Real Estate, Jobs, and more
Free ad posting — users post in minutes with no registration fees or hidden charges
User accounts with login, signup, and listing management
Safe and secure transaction framework to protect both buyers and sellers
Mobile-first, fully responsive design with built-in dark mode
Google Analytics 4 for traffic and behaviour tracking
SEO-optimised structure for category and listing pages
A Long-Term Project
Daalely represents a decade-long client relationship — from the initial open-source setup through ongoing management to a full rebuild. It's a project that reflects eHull's ability to grow with a client and deliver at every stage, from early-phase platforms to full custom builds.
